		<description>The original building for good or bad was unique and a New York icon. What they have done to it is shameful.  It would have been better to tear it down and start over. Can anyone say why this current &quot;renovation&quot; is better?  I hope MAD (A museum of Art and Design is responsible for this refridgerator box?) goes away, the building is torn down and something truly interesting replaces it.  I dont think anyone can do any worse than this piece of - well you know what.

		<description>For years I always had a soft spot for the Stone&#039;s building. I can&#039;t say I was a fan (in fact the claustrophobic aspect is something I really didn&#039;t care for) but I admired that he was trying something new and bold. I’m glad to see it revitalized in this way and very happy that the New York continues to grow culturally. For those interested, I found some more photos and info about today’s opening at:
