A friend from Paris sent me this. Well, I am finding him already quite passe, doesn't everyone? I mean...DOTS and animals in formaldehyde ( which museums have done anyway)? How many animals is he going to incarcerate? It seems money gives him the confidence to liken himself to Rembrandt..... a master draftsman!!!! Hirst isn't fit to clean his boots.... His money does not alter my perception, a pipsqueek, in terms of artistic stature. Soutine never made much and Van Gogh made none. I love De Kooning, Stella, etc...but people simply choosing things or spots and calling that art leaves me cold these days.
