The man who made "The Bean" is in Boston. (Ok, it's actually called Cloud Gate.) In any event, I wrote about him in the new issue of Time.

If you got Joel Gray and Liza Minnelli to play Siegfried and Brunnhilde in Gotterdammerung, "Past, Present, Future" would be the perfect Tarnhelm, or magic hat, for Siggy to wear as he beams himself up and down the Rhine.

One could also imagine Kapoor's world-in-the-making rising from the bottom of the stage for the dawn of time prelude to Das Rheingold.

And, yes, what better metaphor for the advance of time than a close shave that never ends.

By the way, I couldn't find "inwendig" in my German dictionary.

But a couple of online translation tools (Babelfish and Google) translate "wendig" as "nimble."

Which adds a layer of humor to "Nimble Full Figure" as seductive as its glossy red finish.
