		<description>Gehry has become a cliche, like a Rodin bronze copy or a Picasso print in the 50&#039;s -- every middle class home had to have one to show their sophistication, but they all are variations on a theme.

One can hardly blame the client:  trendy is trendy.  But this dependence on the same architectural shops leads to boring cities, where a few name brand boxes that all look alike from city to city will ensure that this nouveau-international (trans-national?) style will crowd out regional variation, originality, and new architects.
