ohkayyyyy. So Daniel Burnham and Frank Lloyd Wright don't even appear in the the top? Not even a a tip-of-the-hat to Wright's Larking Building? What about Burnham and the Manufactures and Liberal Arts Building of the Chicago Worlds Fair?

Perhaps the list should also include 150 of America's greatest buildings that no longer exist. I'm quite sure that wright, Burnham Root, and perhaps even Kahn will take the cake for that.

Interesting list though. Thanks.

The Salk Institute is sublime. But, a new Master Plan soon to be considered by the San Diego City Council, will forever mar this iconic building and its site. The proposal is for 240,000 square feet of buildings, most on the western coastal canyon. The plan has earned the World Monument Funds listing (wmf.org) in their world 100 Most Endangered Sites, the San Diego Architectural Foundations Grand Onion Award for 2007, and SOHO (Save Our Heritage Foundation Organisation) 11 Most Endangered sites recognition. Save The Salk!
